Egypt condemned the threats targeting the security of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing them as irresponsible escalation that would undermine the security and stability of the region, and threaten the safety of maritime navigation, international trade, and vital waterways.

Egypt affirmed that these threats constitute a flagrant violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, and relevant Security Council resolutions.

Egypt stressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Gulf Cooperation Council states, and its support for all measures taken by these states to maintain their security, stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Egypt called for prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions, and respecting the rules of international law, in a manner that contributes to de-escalation and maintaining the security and stability of the region.
