The march comes after nearly a thousand days of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, which has caused massive destruction and a deep humanitarian crisis.

Palestinian national and popular forces organized a march in Gaza City on Thursday evening to demand an end to the Israeli genocide war and the lifting of the siege, and to reject plans to displace Palestinians.

The demonstration started from the Saraya intersection in central Gaza towards the destroyed Legislative Council building, under the slogan 'A thousand days of genocide... Gaza endures and screams in the face of injustice and silence'.

Participants raised Palestinian flags and banners condemning the ongoing genocide and international silence regarding the difficult humanitarian conditions Palestinians are living under in Gaza.

The participants called on the international community to pressure Israel to stop the aggression, provide protection for civilians, and ensure the entry of aid.

Journalist and academic Yahya al-Madhoun told Anadolu that the march reflects the Palestinian people's rejection of the continuation of war amid the humanitarian, economic, and living crises in the Gaza Strip.

He added: 'The world must urgently move to stop the war on the Gaza Strip,' calling for an end to the suffering of Palestinians.

Coordinator of the national forces, Bassam al-Kurdi, affirmed that a thousand days of genocide have increased the people's adherence to their rights, and stressed the rejection of any displacement.

Al-Kurdi called on the United Nations and the parties sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to compel Israel to stop its attacks and ensure security and stability for Palestinians in Gaza.

The march comes as humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip continue to deteriorate, with Palestinians demanding an end to the war, lifting restrictions on the entry of aid, providing basic needs for the population, as well as rejecting any displacement plans and insisting on staying on their land.

On October 8, 2023, Israel, with US support, launched a genocidal war on Gaza that lasted for two years, killing more than 73,000 people and wounding over 173,000, in addition to destroying nearly 90 percent of civilian infrastructure.

Despite a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 2025, Israel continues to violate it, impose a siege on Gaza, and impose severe restrictions on the movement of individuals, goods, and aid, in addition to its ongoing military operations.

Israel continues its military operations despite repeated international calls for a ceasefire. Residents of Gaza suffer from severe shortages of food, medicine, and water due to the tightened siege. International efforts to bring in aid remain limited, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis. Palestinians affirm their attachment to their land and reject any displacement plans amid ongoing international silence.
