Abu Dhabi, June 11 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, received at the Al Nakheel Palace in Abu Dhabi His Excellency Timur Zabirov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them in various political, economic, and cultural fields, in order to achieve common interests and strengthen ties of cooperation between the two sides. His Highness praised the strong relations between the UAE and Russia, stressing the keenness of the wise leadership, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, to enhance bilateral cooperation to contribute to strengthening the UAE's position on the international stage and enhancing its relations with various countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect and constructive cooperation.

For his part, the Russian ambassador expressed his appreciation for the development of relations between the two countries, praising the UAE's regional and international role in supporting security and stability. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Diwan of the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, His Excellency Issa Hamad Bushahab, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, His Excellency Khadim Al Daraie, Advisor to the Diwan of the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, along with a number of officials.
