Iraqi President Nizar Amidi affirmed his country's rejection of Iraq becoming a battleground for conflicts.

Amidi added via platform X: 'We condemn the attacks that targeted the cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah, and we affirm that any targeting of Iraqi territory, under any pretext, constitutes an unacceptable violation of Iraq's sovereignty and threatens the security of its citizens and its stability.'

He continued: 'Iraq refuses to be a battleground for conflicts or a field for settling regional scores, and it reaffirms its commitment to relations based on mutual respect and good neighborliness, which preserve the sovereignty of states and spare the peoples of the region further escalation and instability.'
