A senior Israeli official considered that the expansion of the Iran war is solely in the hands of U.S. President Donald Trump.

The website "Ynet" reported today (Wednesday) that the official stated: Israel does not wish at this stage to join the direct confrontation between Washington and Tehran.

The Israeli official warned that any Iranian attack on Israel would lead to a wide-ranging response and the full use of military capabilities. He emphasized that the economic situation in Iran and its repercussions serve Israel's interests.

The official revealed that a date for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington has not yet been set. The U.S. military announced that the United States launched a new wave of strikes in Iran on Tuesday for the "eleventh consecutive night."

Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the strikes, which began at 23:00 GMT, "aim to continue weakening Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz." The military announced the end of this wave of strikes at 00:15 GMT.

It was noted that "CENTCOM" targeted "Iranian military operation centers, naval assets, aircraft storage facilities, drone storage facilities, in addition to military logistical infrastructure." The temporary agreement reached last month to end the war between the U.S. and Iran collapsed on July 7, when Tehran targeted ships in the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States responded with airstrikes on Iran.
