Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned on Sunday the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Amman and delivered a strongly worded protest message against the continued Iranian brutal and unjustified attacks targeting Jordanian territory, and the provocative incitement statements issued by Iranian official bodies regarding the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Jordan affirms that the safety of its citizens is a red line that cannot be crossed.

The ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, said that the ministry asked the chargé d'affaires to convey a clear message to his country to immediately stop the attacks on the Kingdom, and that Jordan's security and the safety of its citizens are a red line that cannot be crossed, as well as the need to stop the unacceptable incitement statements.

He pointed out that the ministry affirmed its condemnation and denunciation of the brutal Iranian attacks, which constitute a flagrant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a blatant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

He affirmed Jordan's condemnation of the brutal Iranian attacks targeting the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Jordan's absolute solidarity and standing with them in all steps they take to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens and residents, adding that Jordan will continue to take all available and necessary steps to protect the safety of its citizens, its security, and its sovereignty.
