Lebanon Condemns Houthi Threats to Saudi Arabia and Iranian Aggressions against Gulf States
أعربت وزارة الخارجية اللبنانية عن استنكارها الشديد لتهديدات جماعة الحوثي الموجهة للرياض، إلى جانب الاعتداءات الإيرانية التي استهدفت عدة دول عربية.
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants strongly condemned the threats made by the Houthi group against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the threat to impose a ban on maritime navigation through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, notably resolutions 2722 (2024) and 2216 (2015).
In its statement, the ministry reiterated its emphasis on the necessity of respecting freedom of maritime navigation and the full implementation of international resolutions, to ensure support for Yemeni legitimacy and the withdrawal of the Houthis from the areas they have controlled.
In the same context, the ministry condemned the recent Iranian aggressions that targeted the territories of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, considering them a clear violation of the sovereignty of these states and a threat to regional security and stability.
At the conclusion of the statement, Lebanon affirmed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, supporting all measures taken by these countries to defend their sovereignty and protect their security and stability.
