(CNN)— The spokesman for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Headquarters, Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaqari, on Friday issued a direct threat to the United States, outlining a red line that will not be crossed.

Zolfaqari said, according to Iran's official news agency, 'If you strike infrastructure, we will strike all remaining infrastructure in the region.'

On the red line, Zolfaqari stated: 'Criminal America continues its arrogance and destabilization of the region. We reiterate that we will not allow America, as a foreign country from outside the region, under any circumstances, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz. This is the red line that Iran will not budge on.'

The spokesman continued: 'If the recent empty threats of the American president to target the US military's aggression against the infrastructure of Islamic Iran are carried out, then all that remains intact—that is, all infrastructure in the region—will be hit by devastating strikes from the capable armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so that it becomes a trace after the eye, as if it never existed from the beginning.'
