Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar affirmed the importance of adhering to the ceasefire commitments stipulated in the "Islamabad" memorandum of understanding, and the need to avoid any steps that could escalate tensions in the region.

This came during a telephone call received by Ishaq Dar from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, during which the two sides discussed the latest regional developments and ways to support efforts for de-escalation and stability. The two ministers agreed to continue coordination and maintain close contact on regional developments and issues of mutual interest, in the service of security and stability in the region.
