Iranian Parliament Speaker and head of the Iranian negotiating delegation, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, said that 'the era of unilateral agreements is over,' following the US attacks on Tehran.

On Sunday, Qalibaf posted on his account on the American platform 'X' a picture containing the text of Article 5 of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, and accompanied it with a comment saying: 'The era of unilateral agreements is over.'

Qalibaf also warned the United States, saying: 'Either keep your promises, or pay the price.'

On Sunday night, Tehran and Washington exchanged military strikes, after which the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to maritime navigation until further notice, due to what it described as a state of 'security instability caused by foreign intervention.'

The Gulf region has been witnessing escalating tensions since the outbreak of the US-Israeli military confrontation with Iran on February 28, despite Washington and Tehran signing a memorandum of understanding on June 18, and the continuation of negotiations between them mediated by Qatar and Pakistan to reach a final agreement.
