The Qatari Emiri Diwan mourned this morning, 27 Muharram 1448 AH, corresponding to July 12, 2026, the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who passed away at the age of 74.

In its obituary statement, the Emiri Diwan stated that the deceased was a symbol of the nation and rendered great services to his country and the Arab and Islamic nation.

The statement added: "May Allah envelop the great departed of the nation with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and admit him to His spacious paradise with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous, and reward him with the best reward for what he has given."

At the conclusion of the statement, the Emiri Diwan offered sincere condolences, praying to Allah to grant everyone patience and solace, affirming that the deceased will remain in the memory of the nation.
