US authorities arrested British-American influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan in Miami in connection with an extradition request from the UK, where they face new charges including rape, human trafficking, and assault.

The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrest of the brothers, stating that the details of the arrest warrant remain confidential, while footage circulated by US media showed them being led away in handcuffs.

Meanwhile, the UK Crown Prosecution Service announced that it has brought additional charges against the brothers for rape, arranging or facilitating human trafficking for sexual exploitation, as well as offenses related to indecent images of a child, confirming that it formally requested their extradition from the US after new evidence emerged.

The brothers, who hold both US and British citizenship, also face charges of tax evasion and money laundering in the UK, while they are being pursued in Romania on cases involving trafficking minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, and money laundering. They deny all allegations.

Andrew Tate is one of the most controversial figures on social media platforms, promoting ideas associated with the so-called 'manosphere,' with over 10.8 million followers on X. He and his brother are also prominent supporters of US President Donald Trump.
