Senegalese President arrives in Doha to offer condolences on the passing of the great leader of the nation

His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal, and his accompanying delegation arrived at Hamad International Airport on Sunday evening on a condolence visit following the passing of the late, by God's will, His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

This visit comes within the framework of the close bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Senegal, and reflects the African leaders' keenness to share the grief of the Qatari people.

Upon his arrival and that of his accompanying delegation at Hamad International Airport, they were received by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport, and His Excellency Mr. Cheikh Tidiane Sal, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to the State.

The personal visit of the Senegalese President to offer condolences reflects the depth of brotherly ties between the two countries and comes within the context of joint cooperation at the bilateral and international levels. This stance embodies African solidarity with Qatar in this great tragedy.
