US President Donald Trump described the United States' performance in the war against Iran as 'wonderful,' affirming that Washington has eliminated Tehran's army.
According to international media reports, Trump said in a speech on Monday: 'Our performance in Iran is wonderful, we have eliminated its army, and it cannot obtain a nuclear weapon.' Trump added: 'Our country is in excellent shape, and we are achieving results in Iran similar to those we achieved in Venezuela,' and continued: 'We haven't gotten the media coverage we deserve on Iran, but we crushed them militarily. Our country is strong and our military is the strongest in the world.'
He indicated that he does not seek regime change in Iran and prefers to reach a final agreement. He continued: 'The US Navy imposed the greatest blockade the world has ever seen on Iran, and not a single ship was able to break through it.'
Trump went on to say: 'I do not want to harm 91 million people. I have obtained concessions from Iran, and they must abide by them. We will also obtain Iran's highly enriched uranium,' threatening: 'We can disrupt Iran's energy supplies and destroy all those major plants they have built.'
Trump stressed that either Washington reaches an agreement with Iran or it will end the mission, noting that Iran prefers to reach an agreement.
