US President Donald Trump threatened Iran that it will pay a "multiplied price" for killing every American soldier.

This came in a post on his account on his platform 'Truth Social' on Monday.

Trump said: 'Whenever Iran kills an American soldier, it will pay a multiplied price for this crime.'

He stated that these directives have been communicated to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, as well as 'all military commanders.'

On Saturday, CENTCOM announced the killing of two American soldiers and the loss of a third on Friday in Jordan, while repelling Iranian attacks with ballistic missiles and drones.

The confrontation between Washington and Tehran entered its second week, after US President Donald Trump announced on July 8 that the ceasefire stipulated in the memorandum of understanding signed on June 18, 2026, had ended.

Trump's announcement came after Iran targeted 3 commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz, as Tehran insists on imposing a mechanism to regulate the passage of ships through the strategic corridor, while Washington demands what it says is ensuring freedom of navigation and its security in the strait.

The escalation has disrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and threatened aviation and energy supplies, amid intermittent closures of airspace and warnings of targeting US facilities and interests outside the Middle East.

- 'Netanyahu will not be arrested in any way'

In another post, Trump affirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 'will not be arrested in any way or under any circumstances' if he visits the United States, considering that Netanyahu is 'waging a conflict' against Iran.

The US president considered that the people who should be detained are 'those who are dragging Iran toward death and destruction,' noting that this issue should have been resolved by his predecessors years ago.

Netanyahu is expected to visit New York next September to participate in the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

On November 21, 2024, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Netanyahu, citing reasonable grounds to believe his responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The charges include using starvation of civilians as a method of warfare, as well as murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.

The charges relate to acts committed during the period from October 8, 2023 to at least May 20, 2024, according to the court.

No conviction has been issued against Netanyahu, as he is still wanted under the arrest warrant, while Israel rejects the court's jurisdiction and the charges against him.
