Syria strongly condemned the statements made by the military spokesman of the Houthi militia, which included false allegations and accusations against the Kingdom, in an attempt to distort its regional role and undermine efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.

Turkey calls for avoiding any actions that increase tensions in the region.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement today (Wednesday) Syria's full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of these allegations, praising the positive and pivotal role the Kingdom plays in consolidating regional security and peace, supporting political solutions to conflicts, and enhancing dialogue and cooperation among the countries of the region, serving the interests of their peoples and preserving their stability.

Turkey also condemned the Houthi threats to impose a naval blockade on the Kingdom, renewing its solidarity with it, stressing the need to immediately stop all actions and threats that endanger maritime security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which target maritime transport and global trade.

Turkey called, in a statement today, to avoid any measures that would increase the existing tensions in the region.
