Ukrainian President Changes Army Leadership, Appoints Drabaty as Successor to Syrskyi
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed General Oleksandr Syrskyi from his position as Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Tuesday, following days of mass protests in Kyiv and other cities across the country demanding his removal.
Zelenskyy appointed Mykhailo Drabaty as the new army commander, according to a statement published on social media.
