The US military launched new airstrikes on Iran, in response to an attack targeting a container ship while it was transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The US Central Command explained that the strikes - the third this week - aim to undermine Iran's ability to target commercial ships, following the attack that resulted in the loss of a crew member and severe damage to the ship.
