Riyadh Air launches ticket sales for its daily flights between Riyadh and Mumbai
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new national carrier and a subsidiary of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, began selling tickets today for its daily flights between the capital Riyadh and the Indian city of Mumbai.
According to a company statement, this vital route, which will launch on August 4, will enhance the carrier's mission to connect Saudi Arabia with major global and regional hubs. Mumbai is the ninth destination for Riyadh Air.
The daily flights will operate between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
This strategic step serves as an important gateway for Riyadh Air to enter the Indian market, one of the fastest-growing aviation markets in the world. It also meets the increasing demand for travel between the two countries and facilitates business movement.
The new route contributes to strengthening Riyadh's position as a global logistics platform, providing direct connectivity options for passengers from Mumbai to reach prominent world capitals such as London and Madrid.
It is worth noting that Riyadh Air added two new destinations to its growing network last June: Malaga and Kuala Lumpur, with three weekly flights.
Riyadh Air was established on March 12, 2023, to contribute to the development of the air transport sector and enhance Saudi Arabia's strategic location connecting three of the world's most important continents: Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as to raise the competitiveness of national companies in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
