The pound stood at London market close at (1.3305) US dollars, down (0.57%).

Data showed the inflation rate in Britain fell to (2.6%) for the year ending last June, compared to (2.8%) in the previous May, recording its lowest level since March (2025). The British Office for National Statistics stated that lower fuel prices for cars, especially diesel, along with lower food prices, contributed to the slowdown in inflation.
