"Debt Management": Purchase of Maturities Worth 17.1 Billion and Issuance of New Sukuk
The National Center for Debt Management announced the completion of an early purchase of part of the Ministry of Finance's maturities for the years 2026–2030, valued at approximately SAR 17.1 billion, in addition to issuing new sukuk worth about SAR 17.2 billion, a step that enhances the management of government obligations and supports the efficiency of the local market.
The value of the first tranche amounted to SAR 1.45 billion.
The Center explained that the new issuances were made through five tranches with maturities ranging from 2031 to 2041, where the value of the first tranche amounted to SAR 1.45 billion, the second SAR 1.62 billion, the third SAR 10.55 billion, the fourth SAR 1.74 billion, and the fifth SAR 1.80 billion.
This operation is part of the Center's efforts in managing public debt and future maturities, in line with initiatives to strengthen public finances in the medium and long term and support the stability of the local market.
The Center stated that the Ministry of Finance and the Center have appointed HSBC Saudi Arabia, AlAhli Financial, Al Rajhi Financial, AlJazira Capital, and Alinma Investment as lead managers for this operation, which enhances execution efficiency and increases the reliability of issuance operations.
