National Center for Debt Management Buys Back SAR 17.1 Billion in Maturities and Issues SAR 17.2 Billion in Sukuk
The National Center for Debt Management announced the completion of an early buyback of part of the Ministry of Finance's outstanding maturities in the years 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030, with a total value of approximately SAR 17.1 billion, alongside the issuance of new sukuk with a total value of nearly SAR 17.2 billion.
This initiative is part of the Center's ongoing efforts to strengthen the local financial market and manage government debt obligations and future maturities, ensuring the integration of these efforts with other initiatives aimed at enhancing the state's public finances in the medium and long term.
The Center divided the new sukuk issuances into five tranches as follows:
- First tranche: approximately SAR 1.45 billion, maturing in 2031.
- Second tranche: approximately SAR 1.62 billion, maturing in 2033.
- Third tranche: approximately SAR 10.55 billion, maturing in 2036.
- Fourth tranche: approximately SAR 1.74 billion, maturing in 2039.
- Fifth tranche: approximately SAR 1.80 billion, maturing in 2041.
The Ministry of Finance and the National Center for Debt Management appointed HSBC Saudi Arabia, AlAhli Capital, Al Rajhi Capital, AlJazira Capital, and Alinma Investment as lead joint managers for this process.
