Purchase of Maturities and Issuance of Sukuk Worth Over 34 Billion
The National Debt Management Center announced the completion of an early purchase of part of the Ministry of Finance's maturities for the years 2026–2030 with a value of approximately 17.1 billion riyals, in addition to the issuance of new sukuk worth about 17.2 billion riyals, in a step that enhances the management of government obligations and supports the efficiency of the local market.
The value of the first tranche reached 1.45 billion riyals.
The center explained that the new issuances came through five tranches distributed over maturities ranging from 2031 to 2041, where the value of the first tranche was 1.45 billion riyals, the second 1.62 billion riyals, the third 10.55 billion riyals, the fourth 1.74 billion riyals, and the fifth 1.80 billion riyals.
This operation comes within the center's efforts in managing public debt and future maturities, in line with initiatives to enhance public finances in the medium and long term and support the stability of the local market.
The center stated that the Ministry of Finance and the center have appointed HSBC Saudi Arabia, AlAhli Financial, AlRajhi Financial, AlJazira Capital, and Alinma Investment as lead issuance managers for this operation, which enhances the efficiency of implementation and increases the reliability of issuance operations.
