Economic / Gulf Interconnection Authority participates in the 67th meeting of the Advisory and Regulatory Committee for Power Interconnection of the GCC States Dammam, 26 Muharram 1448 AH corresponding to July 11, 2026 SPA - The Gulf Interconnection Authority participated the day before yesterday in the 67th meeting of the Advisory and Regulatory Committee for Power Interconnection of the GCC States, in the presence of the CEO of the Gulf Interconnection Authority, Engineer Ahmed Al-Ibrahim, and representatives of the GCC states and the General Secretariat of the GCC represented by the Human and Environment Affairs Sector - Energy Department, in the State of Kuwait. The meeting reviewed a number of topics, most notably the performance report and activities of the Gulf Interconnection Authority, and the support provided by the power interconnection system to the electrical grids of the GCC states, which contributed to enhancing the reliability and stability of the Gulf electrical system, in addition to reviewing the most prominent operational events and measures taken to ensure service continuity, and reviewing the updates on the expansion projects of the Gulf power interconnection network and the latest developments related to them.
