Economy/ Real Estate Registry Begins Registration of (1,491) Properties in Riyadh, Makkah, and Tabuk

Riyadh, Safar 5, 1448 AH corresponding to July 19, 2026 SPA — The Real Estate Registry announced today the start of accepting applications for the first in-kind registration of (1,491) properties in the regions of Riyadh, Makkah, and Tabuk. Registration in the Riyadh region includes a number of properties in Afif Governorate, in addition to the following neighborhoods in Rumah Governorate: (Al Rabiyah neighborhood, part of an open area neighborhood under the jurisdiction of Al Rawdah Municipality, and part of an open area neighborhood under the jurisdiction of Al Sharq Municipality). Registration in the Makkah region begins in Taif Governorate for the following neighborhoods: (part of Umm Al Rasf neighborhood, part of Al Qarahin neighborhood, and part of Umm Al Arad neighborhood), in addition to a number of properties in the Tabuk region in Umluj Governorate. Property owners within these neighborhoods must register their properties before the end of Thursday, October 22, 2026. Owners can verify if their property is within the announced areas through the Real Estate Registry platform. The Real Estate Registry called on property owners to register their properties via the Real Estate Registry platform (www.rer.sa) or the Real Estate Registry app, and to contact the customer service center (199002) for inquiries about procedures and steps. Property owners must register their properties within the specified period to benefit from Real Estate Registry services, conduct property transactions with ease, and avoid penalties and fines stipulated by the Real Property Registration System. The Real Estate Registry affirmed that it continues its work in registering properties in regions benefiting from the registry, as part of its efforts to increase reliability and transparency in the sector by building a comprehensive real estate registry of property information in the Kingdom, to serve as a unified reference for all property data. The Real Estate Registry will issue a "Property Number" and a title deed for each registered property unit. The new title deed includes the precise geographic location of the property, owner data, descriptions, status, associated rights and obligations, and all property transactions that occur; to serve as the basis for documenting ownership and related property rights, contributing to the sustainability and strengthening of the real estate sector and its key enablers. Real estate areas are determined according to several criteria, stemming from the role of the Real Estate General Authority; it is the body responsible for the in-kind registration of real estate according to the Cabinet decision and the provisions of the Real Property Registration System.
