Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday the interception of one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 Iranian drones, noting that four military personnel were injured following an attack on a naval vessel.

Ministry spokesperson Colonel Staff Saoud Al-Otaibi stated in a statement that "the heinous Iranian aggression resulted in the targeting of a number of vital and civilian facilities, and the fall of debris in several locations in the country, causing material damage."

He added in the statement: "One of the naval vessels belonging to the Kuwaiti Naval Force was also targeted, resulting in injuries to four military personnel, who received medical care and necessary treatment, and their condition is stable."

The Kuwaiti Armed Forces affirmed their continued performance of their duties in a state of constant readiness and preparedness, enhancing the country's security and preserving the safety of citizens and residents.

Chief of Staff Visits the Wounded

In a later statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Staff Khalid Al-Sharea'an, visited a number of wounded personnel from the Kuwaiti Naval Force as a result of the Iranian attacks, to check on their health condition and follow up on the medical care provided to them.

The Ministry added that Al-Sharea'an "listened to an explanation from the medical team regarding the health status of the wounded, praising the efforts of the medical staff in providing necessary care, and wishing them a speedy recovery."

A statistic published by the Ministry of Defense showed that Kuwaiti forces have detected, since the beginning of what it described as "the Iranian aggression," 387 ballistic missiles, 21 cruise missiles, and 949 drones.

Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry Condemns

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also expressed the State of Kuwait's strongest condemnation and denunciation of "the heinous Iranian aggression that targeted the country on Tuesday evening, resulting in injuries to a number of military personnel and causing material damage."

The statement said: "The Ministry reiterates its affirmation that the continuation of the heinous Iranian aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the State of Kuwait, a serious threat to the security and safety of its citizens and residents on its territory, a blatant challenge to international legitimacy and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026, and reflects a determination to continue a hostile approach and an irresponsible undermining of regional and international efforts aimed at achieving the security and stability of the region."

It continued: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses the inherent right of the State of Kuwait to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to safeguard its sovereignty and maintain its security and stability, in accordance with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter."
