Monsha'at Attracts 12,697 Beneficiaries from 'Business Weeks' Initiative in First Half of Year
The 'Business Weeks' initiative, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), attracted more than 12,697 beneficiaries in the first half of this year, with participation from 240 entities across the government, private, and non-profit sectors, including 73 exhibiting entities. Additionally, 31 main sessions and 218 entrepreneurial meetings were held, reflecting the initiative's expanded scope and its role in connecting entrepreneurs and SME owners with legislative and enabling entities, services, and investment opportunities in promising sectors.
These results reflect the growing role of specialized sectoral initiatives in bringing together service and program providers with beneficiaries within a single ecosystem, enhancing access to enablers and opportunities according to the needs of each sector.
The 'Business Weeks' initiative stands out as one of Monsha'at's initiatives that brings together government, private, and non-profit entities with entrepreneurs and SME owners through weeks each focused on a specific sector, allowing participants to explore investment opportunities and services and build partnerships.
The initiative builds an integrated ecosystem of panel discussions, entrepreneurial meetings, workshops, consultations, and mentoring, in addition to hosting decision-makers and senior officials for direct dialogues with entrepreneurs and SME owners. These sessions aim to introduce investment opportunities, listen to challenges they face, and work with relevant entities to address them, with participation from government, private, and non-profit entities. This enables beneficiaries to learn about investment opportunities, services, programs, and support solutions in targeted sectors.
Participating entities are given space to showcase their services and initiatives, communicate directly with target groups, interact with entrepreneurs and SME owners, and build partnerships through enterprise support centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, and Medina, in addition to virtual events.
In the first half of 2026, the 'Business Weeks' focused on four main sectors: sports, innovation, finance, and social entrepreneurship. It showcased investment opportunities in these sectors, along with financing solutions, credit guarantees, modern technologies, digital transformation, and socially impactful business models, in partnership with relevant government, private, and non-profit entities for each sector.
The 'Business Weeks' activities continue in the second half of this year, with the 'Real Estate and Contracting Week' held in July seeing participation from over 40 government and private sector entities, benefiting more than 3,000 beneficiaries. The initiative will continue with specialized weeks covering education, law, health, industry, artificial intelligence, and exports, reinforcing continuous coverage of promising sectors and connecting entrepreneurs and SME owners with investment opportunities, services, and enabling entities.
The first-half results confirm the initiative's continued establishment of a model that brings together enabling entities, entrepreneurs, and SME owners within a single ecosystem, enhancing the utilization of services and programs, expanding partnership opportunities, and supporting the growth and sustainability of enterprises, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030.
