Bank loans to private sector and government institutions rise to 3504 billion riyals (+7%) in May 2026

Loans provided by Saudi banks to the private sector and non-financial government institutions rose by 7% by the end of May 2026, reaching about 3504 billion riyals compared to about 3273 billion riyals in the same period of 2025. The private sector accounted for about 93% of total loans, while loans to non-financial government institutions constituted about 7%, according to the monthly bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank.
