Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new national carrier, has begun selling tickets for its direct flights between Riyadh and the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, ahead of launching daily service from August 7, 2026, in a move that strengthens its international network and provides direct connecting flights for travelers to the Middle East and Europe via the Saudi capital.

Riyadh Air clarified that the flights will operate daily between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka aboard Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, supporting air connectivity between the Kingdom and South Asia, and meeting the growing demand for business and leisure travel.

The launch of the new route is part of the carrier's strategy to expand its global network and connect the Kingdom with major economic and regional hubs, amid growing economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh, in addition to enhancing Riyadh's position as a regional center for air transport and logistics services.

Passengers can book tickets via the Riyadh Air website and app or through authorized travel agents. The loyalty program 'Safir' offers founding members benefits including best price guarantee at booking, complimentary in-flight internet, along with non-expiring points and the ability to share them with community members.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner offers four travel classes: Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy, and Economy, with seats that convert to flat beds in the business classes, and advanced entertainment systems featuring over 500 movies and 600 TV series, in addition to mobile phone connectivity, high-definition screens, Bluetooth headphones, and charging ports at all seats.

The travel experience also includes Saudi products from the company Kiyani, and children's kits in collaboration with Disney, along with diverse meal menus and a comprehensive program to enhance passenger comfort throughout the journey.

The Riyadh-Dhaka route is the latest destination launched by Riyadh Air as part of its expansion plans, after starting its regular commercial flights last June. The carrier currently operates flights to several regional and international destinations, and continues to implement its plan to build a global network connecting the Saudi capital to more than 100 destinations by 2030, supporting the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
