US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed on Wednesday that an image of US President Donald Trump will soon appear on a one-dollar gold coin.

Bessent announced on X that the coin's release coincides with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, and comes 'in honor of the enduring legacy of freedom and a lasting symbol of patriotism.'

The minister's post displayed a model of the coin, and Bessent explained that the US Mint will begin producing the coin, although the exact date of its sale to the public has not yet been determined.

It is worth noting that earlier this month, Bessent shared on X a model of a $100 banknote, first posted by Trump, bearing the signatures of both the president and the treasury secretary himself.
