Launch of the 'Wehaj' Art Exhibition in Jazan
The activities of the 'Wehaj' art exhibition, organized by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts in Jazan region, were launched in the presence of a number of artists, intellectuals, media professionals, and those interested in visual arts.
The director of the society, Issa Ghazawi, explained that the 'Wehaj' exhibition aims to support the art movement, providing opportunities for male and female artists to display their works to the public, thus contributing to discovering talents, refining creative experiences, and enhancing communication between artists and those interested in visual arts, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to support the cultural sector and strengthen its presence.
He indicated that the exhibition, which lasts for three days, includes a collection of artworks by a select group of male and female artists, ranging from realism, impressionism, and abstraction, drawing their themes from national identity, the Saudi environment, and cultural heritage, in addition to works addressing humanitarian and social issues with contemporary artistic visions and methods, reflecting the richness of creative experiences, the development of the Saudi art scene, and the diversity of participants' artistic visions. He affirmed that the exhibition contributes to expanding the presence of fine arts, highlighting local creative experiences, and creating a space for interaction between creators and the public, thereby enhancing awareness of fine arts and supporting the cultural movement in the region.
The exhibition, which opens its doors daily to visitors from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, allows viewing a variety of artworks, learning about different schools and artistic styles, in addition to providing a space for communication between artists and the public and exchanging experiences, contributing to the development of artistic taste, highlighting local talents, and enhancing interaction with visual arts.
