Rural farms in Al-Baha region emerge during the summer vacation as one of the tourism options attracting visitors seeking tranquility, comfort, and a different entertainment experience, in the heart of authentic nature and tranquility in the lap of the countryside, with its appealing rural atmosphere. The Director General of the Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Al-Baha, Engineer Fahd Muftah Al-Zahrani, explained that the Al-Baha region has witnessed a notable transformation in the rural sector recently, stressing that the branch plays a pivotal role in supporting and monitoring these farms, which have turned the countryside in Al-Baha into an attractive tourist destination. He pointed to the launch of a training camp under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prince of the region, which is the first developmental training program dedicated to operators of rural agricultural tourism activities in the southwestern regions of the Kingdom. Engineer Al-Zahrani said, "The number of licensed rural farms in Al-Baha region currently amounts to 30 farms, and we are currently working on licensing 35 additional farms as part of a plan targeting about 65 licensed farms in various governorates of the region, achieving broader coverage of all Al-Baha governorates."
