Al-Baha, Muharram 25, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 10, 2026 AD (SPA) -- The Al-Baha region is rich in historical villages and ancient stone houses set amidst its mountainous terrain, hosting a number of rural inns that offer tourist experiences combining natural beauty with a wealth of cultural heritage. The 'Al-Ayed Inn' in Bani Kabir is one of the prominent rural inns in the region, reflecting traditional architectural style built with local stone and wood. It houses more than 450 diverse heritage pieces, including antique furniture, household tools, and old paper currency, allowing visitors to learn about the details of life that the people of Al-Baha once lived. The owner of the inn, Sharifa Al-Ghamdi, told the Saudi Press Agency that she spent nine years restoring and equipping a number of old houses, with the aim of preserving their architectural identity and turning them into a tourist destination that introduces local heritage. Rural inns highlight a part of the region's architectural and cultural legacy, characterized by ingenuity in using natural materials suited to Al-Baha's topography and climate, in addition to their role in supporting cultural tourism and preserving historical buildings.
