Health Ministry Denies Allegations of Establishing or Operating 'Asia Medical City' Project
The Saudi Ministry of Health refutes claims in a viral video about an 'Asia Medical City' project, stating it has no licenses and the individual involved is a former hospital director summoned for legal procedures.
The Ministry of Health announced today (Thursday) that the claims in a circulating video announcing a project called 'Asia Medical City' are false, stressing that the project has not obtained any approvals or licenses from the Ministry and does not have any legal status authorizing the announcement of the establishment or operation of a health facility.
The Ministry denied the accuracy of allegations of the participation of 50 Asian countries in the project.
The Ministry explained that the person appearing in the video is a doctor and former director of one of the Ministry of Health's hospitals, and the Ministry has summoned him to complete legal procedures against him in accordance with relevant regulations.
The Ministry also denied the accuracy of allegations of the participation of 50 Asian countries in the project and the false information contained in the video regarding health systems and procedures for regulating alternative medicine services, which contradict approved regulations and rules. It stressed that announcing any project or providing a health service requires completing all necessary licenses and official approvals in accordance with approved regulations and procedures to ensure its legality and reliability.
