The Riyadh branch of the National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) has launched a field campaign to vaccinate pets against rabies, running until Thursday, July 23, 2026.

The campaign is part of the branch's efforts to strengthen the animal health system and reduce the spread of zoonotic diseases, in order to protect public health and livestock in the region.

The center's branch explained that pet owners will be received at approved vaccination sites daily from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM throughout the campaign, stressing that the vaccination service is completely free, and calling on all breeders to take advantage of it and adhere to bringing their animals to the designated sites.

The Weqaa branch in Riyadh confirmed that preventive and awareness campaigns will continue periodically, aiming to raise community health awareness, promote a culture of prevention, and protect public health in the region.
