"BSF" launches "Future Leaders" camp as part of social responsibility initiatives
The Saudi French Bank (BSF), in partnership with the Social Development Bank, launched the "Future Leaders" camp, one of the initiatives of the "Ather" social responsibility program implemented by the bank, aimed at supporting entrepreneurs and enhancing the readiness of their projects to obtain financing within the "Ather" portfolio of BSF for social responsibility, which is dedicated to supporting and promoting the growth of startups and enabling their expansion. The camp witnessed wide interest, with more than 220 male and female entrepreneurs applying, and 12 projects were selected to participate in an intensive three-day program that includes specialized training and guidance sessions, business model reviews, development of project files, and completion of application requirements for obtaining financing. The program focuses on developing the practical aspects of the projects through specialized tracks including financial technology, logistics technology, real estate technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, along with guidance sessions provided by a select group of experts and specialists, enhancing the participants' readiness to benefit from available financing opportunities. The Head of Corporate Banking at BSF, Faisal Darwish, said: "This initiative reflects BSF's commitment to supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem and enabling startups to access opportunities that help them grow and sustain, as our partnership with the Social Development Bank represents a model of integration between the financial and developmental sectors in supporting the national economy." The Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at the Social Development Bank, Engineer Muaidh bin Nasser Al-Bishi, confirmed that the partnership with the Saudi French Bank represents a model of integration between the financial and developmental sectors in maximizing the impact of social responsibility, pointing out that the bank has succeeded in building a portfolio worth more than 360 million riyals, with aspirations to develop it into a billion-riyal portfolio that supports entrepreneurial projects and contributes to creating job opportunities. He added that the launch of the "Future Leaders" camp is an extension of this approach, through qualifying and enabling startups and linking them with financing opportunities, thereby contributing to turning promising ideas into successful national companies and creating sustainable success stories that enhance economic growth and achieve a developmental impact that extends to society. The "Future Leaders" camp comes as an extension of the strategic relationship between BSF and the Social Development Bank, embodying the keenness of both sides to launch distinctive initiatives that contribute to empowering entrepreneurs, enhancing the entrepreneurship environment, and supporting sustainable economic development in the Kingdom.
