The Civil Affairs Agency of the Ministry of Interior revealed details of the electronic birth registration service, which allows male and female citizens and residents to register their newborns online.

The Civil Affairs, via the 'X' platform, explained that the service provides the option to request delivery of official documents, such as family register and birth certificate for citizens, and birth certificate for residents, to the beneficiary's national address without needing to visit Civil Affairs offices.

The service can be accessed by logging into the Absher platform, selecting 'My Services' then 'Services', clicking on the 'Civil Affairs' icon, then choosing 'Birth Registration Service', reviewing the terms, and completing the application.

The Civil Affairs emphasized the necessity of registering the birth within 30 days from the date of birth, as a financial penalty is imposed if this period is exceeded.
