His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held today in Jeddah. At the outset, the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the content of the telephone call he received from President Donald Trump of the United States of America, during which they reviewed areas of cooperation between the two countries and a number of regional and international issues, and affirmed support for all that contributes to the security and stability of the region. His Highness also informed the Cabinet of the results of his talks with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, which underscored the commitment to strengthening and developing bilateral relations across various fields towards a future of deeper joint cooperation, supported by mutual trust, close friendship, and the objectives emanating from Saudi Vision 2030 and Canada's growth agenda to build a stronger and more resilient economy for both countries. In this context, the Cabinet praised the official visit of the Canadian Prime Minister, which witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding on the establishment of the Saudi-Canadian Coordination Council and cooperation in energy, investment in artificial intelligence, and skills development, as well as the success of the Saudi-Canadian Investment Forum, which included the announcement of trade and investment agreements between government entities, companies, and institutions from both countries in the fields of mining, engineering, infrastructure, advanced industries, training and education, financial services, and information and communications technology. Minister of Human Resources and Social Development and Acting Minister of Media, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency after the session that the Cabinet, following its monitoring of events on the regional and international arenas, condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Iranian attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz and on the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, affirming its absolute rejection of Iran's continued behavior that undermines regional security and its violations of the principles of international law, the charters of the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the rules of good neighborliness. The Cabinet welcomed the outcomes of the meeting held in Riyadh between the Saudi and Iraqi sides, which included Iraq's commitment not to allow its territory or airspace to be used as a launching point for any acts or attacks targeting the Kingdom, the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and the region, in addition to agreeing to continue bilateral coordination in the common interest. The Cabinet also welcomed the announcement by the United States of America to begin procedures to repeal the law designating the Syrian Arab Republic as a state sponsor of terrorism, which was enacted in 1979, reiterating the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support for the positive steps taken by the Syrian government to enhance security and stability, build state institutions, and achieve the aspirations of its brotherly people. The Cabinet reviewed the items on its agenda, including subjects that the Shura Council had studied, and reviewed the conclusions of the Political and Security Affairs Council, the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the General Committee of the Cabinet, and the Experts Authority of the Cabinet. The Cabinet issued the following decisions: First: Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or his delegate, to negotiate and sign a draft general cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Guatemala. Second: Authorizing His Highness the Minister of Culture, or his delegate, to negotiate and sign a draft memorandum of understanding for cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Albania.

Third: Authorizing the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, or his delegate, to negotiate and sign a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of labor and social protection between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Fourth: The Saudi Society of Internal Auditors to negotiate and sign a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in internal auditing, governance, risk, and compliance with the Turkish Institute of Internal Auditors. Fifth: Approval of a memorandum of understanding for technical and scientific geological cooperation between the Saudi Geological Survey and the Iraqi Geological Survey. Sixth: Approval of two memoranda of understanding on combating corruption between the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Office of the Attorney General of the Federative Republic of Brazil, and the High Authority for Good Governance of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. Seventh: Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the General Court of Audit of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State Audit Office of the Republic of North Macedonia for cooperation in accounting, auditing, and professional work. Eighth: Approval of two memoranda of understanding for cooperation in procedures, mechanisms, and strategies related to the non-profit sector between the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Social Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth of the Republic of Singapore. Ninth: Approval of a memorandum of understanding between the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Tenth: Approval of the State Revenue System. Eleventh: Creation of a training visa to be granted to international trainees, according to a number of arrangements. Twelfth: Appointment of Mr. Emad bin Ouda Al-Ouda and Mr. Fahd bin Mohammed Al-Shibl as members of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Postal Corporation. Thirteenth: Approval of the final accounts of the Agricultural Development Fund, the Tourism Development Fund, and the universities of Jazan, Umm Al-Qura, Hail, and Hafr Al-Batin for previous fiscal years. Fourteenth: Directing the necessary measures regarding a number of items on the Cabinet’s agenda, including annual reports of the Royal Commission for the Development of King Abdulaziz Reserve and the universities of Umm Al-Qura, Northern Border, and King Khalid. Fifteenth: Approval of the promotion of Mohammed bin Yousef Al-Harbi to the position of Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the promotion of Khaled bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh to the position of Legal Advisor at the rank of (14th rank) at the Experts Authority of the Cabinet.
