Political and military analyst Major General Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said that the Houthis' claims against the Kingdom are an attempt to evade their responsibility for prolonging the Yemeni crisis.

Al-Ghamdi added, in an intervention on Al-Akhbariya Radio, that threatening navigation in the Bab el-Mandeb constitutes a direct threat to international trade and the security of maritime lanes, and is not a domestic Yemeni matter.

He continued, saying that the Houthi group benefits from Iranian weapons and expertise, which the Iranian regime employs to pressure the international community in the Red Sea.

He went on to say that the violations committed by the Houthis have led to dangerous humanitarian, economic, and security situations, pointing out that the group's statements aim to divert attention from those violations.
