Tomorrow: Registration Opens for the 'Mai' Award to Enhance Water Efficiency and Conservation
The National Center for Water Efficiency and Conservation (Mai) will start accepting submissions for its annual award tomorrow to promote innovation and water sustainability. The award targets government and private sectors and individuals through three tracks to honor outstanding achievements and provide financial rewards.
The center invited the various target groups to register via the electronic link «https://award.maee.gov.sa» within its specific tracks. The award is one of the strategic initiatives aimed at establishing a culture of water sustainability across sectors and society.

The initiative aims to spread awareness about the importance of water conservation, encourage distinguished practices, and honor achievements with sustainable impact. The award includes three main tracks: Water Efficiency and Conservation Practices, Spreading a Culture of Conservation, in addition to the 'Mai' Partners track. These tracks allow participation from government entities, the private sector, the non-profit sector, as well as the community and individuals. All submissions are subject to approved controls and criteria specific to each track to ensure accurate evaluation and achievement of desired goals.
Financial Rewards
The center indicated that winners will receive official recognition highlighting their contributions to water efficiency and conservation, adding that the award will provide financial rewards to winners from the individuals category in appreciation of their efforts in spreading awareness and promoting conservation behaviors. It is noted that the launch of the 'Mai' award was sponsored by the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour Al-Mushaiti. The Saudi Water Week 2026, recently held in Jeddah, witnessed the official announcement of this initiative.
