When the Cabinet praises the nonprofit sector for continuing to achieve its targets, and announces that the number of nonprofit organizations has reached over 7,200, and the number of volunteers has risen to 1.7 million, this praise reflects the magnitude of the transformation the sector is undergoing and solidifies its role as a key partner in achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

At Binaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province, we view this praise as a renewed responsibility and a motivation to continue investing in people, based on our mission to build and empower orphans and their families through innovative, sustainable solutions and effective strategic partnerships. This approach is embodied in programs and initiatives with total spending since the association's founding exceeding 619 million riyals, allocated to the care and empowerment of orphans and the building of their future through an integrated system encompassing education, housing, health, quality of life, and economic empowerment. The association's journey has been generously supported by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, whose continuous patronage of the association's programs and initiatives has driven its developmental impact. Additionally, the guidance and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors, along with the support of board members, have established an institutional approach based on sustainability, innovation, and maximizing impact, reflected in the quality and scope of the initiatives.

Education is a top priority for the association, as the most important investment in the future. Through the educational grants project, the association has enabled 133 male and female students to enroll in universities and colleges, along with educational and enrichment programs that develop skills and prepare children for promising specializations and the labor market, in line with the goals of Vision 2030. Developmental housing is one of the most prominent models of sustainable impact. The association has contributed to the ownership and furnishing of hundreds of housing units, and its efforts have raised the number of families owning homes from 487 families in 2022 to 1,145 families in 2025, increasing the ownership rate to 70.35%. This transformation reflects the impact of residential stability on improving quality of life, enhancing educational and empowerment opportunities, and achieving family stability. The association also continues to implement its programs in health and quality of life, economic empowerment, and professional rehabilitation, alongside developing its institutional system in governance, excellence, and impact measurement, to enhance performance efficiency and sustainability of results, keeping pace with the aspirations of the nonprofit sector in the Kingdom. Government praise for the nonprofit sector serves as an incentive for all its organizations to continue creating impact, fostering innovation, building partnerships, and raising performance efficiency. Investing in people remains the most worthwhile investment because it creates a more sustainable future and embodies a nation's vision that places people at the center and goal of development. * CEO of Binaa Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Province
