The Kingdom showcased its experience in building an integrated national artificial intelligence ecosystem that combines responsible governance with the expansion of AI applications in various sectors, highlighting the contributions of national entities involved in developing the AI ecosystem in the Kingdom, by enhancing governance and ethical frameworks, developing advanced computing infrastructure, supporting research and innovation, and building national capabilities, thereby contributing to cementing the Kingdom's position as a global model in developing responsible and scalable AI.

This took place during a dialogue session organized by the Kingdom, represented by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum, with the participation of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), and Prince Sultan University, as part of the Kingdom's efforts to support international cooperation and exchange of expertise and best practices, contributing to building a more sustainable, reliable, and inclusive digital future.

The participants reviewed the Kingdom's journey in employing AI in several vital sectors, including government services, health, and media, emphasizing the importance of building an integrated ecosystem that balances technological development with requirements of trust, transparency, inclusiveness, and alignment with local values and cultures.

The session featured a high-level discussion that addressed the most prominent lessons learned from the Kingdom's experience in the responsible expansion of AI, and the opportunities to enhance international cooperation in the areas of governance, investment, and infrastructure innovation, enabling countries and institutions to benefit from successful experiences in building a sustainable national AI ecosystem.
