Saudi Civil Defense declared on Wednesday that the threat that triggered an emergency alert in Dammam had subsided, just minutes after advising residents to seek shelter and adhere to safety precautions.

The Civil Defense authority regularly uses the early warning system to inform residents of imminent dangers and safety measures.

Civil Defense, via the National Platform for Early Warning in Emergencies, confirmed the situation had resolved and urged residents to continue following official directives, refrain from assembling or recording incidents, and call 911 for emergencies.

Earlier, authorities issued an emergency alert advising residents to remain calm, move to the nearest safe location inside buildings, stay away from windows and exposed areas, and remain indoors until the all-clear was announced.

Motorists who received the alert while driving were instructed to pull over in a safe location away from bridges and high-rise buildings.

Civil Defense reiterated the importance of relying on official channels for information and complying with instructions issued by the relevant authorities to ensure public safety.
