The Saudi Civil Defense announced on Wednesday that the danger that prompted the activation of an alert via the National Platform for Early Warning in Emergency Situations in the city of Dammam had passed, hours after warning residents and urging them to follow preventive instructions. The Civil Defense had issued an early warning alerting of danger in Dammam, calling on residents to remain calm, follow official instructions, and head to the nearest safe place inside buildings, staying away from windows and open areas until the situation is declared over. It also recommended at that time not to leave buildings, stop to film incidents, or gather in dangerous locations, and directed drivers to stop in safe places away from bridges and tall buildings upon receiving the alert message, and to contact via number (911) in case of any emergency.

In a later update, the Civil Defense confirmed the danger had passed in Dammam, calling on residents to continue following its instructions, avoid gathering and filming entirely, and contact the relevant authorities via number (911) when necessary, to ensure public safety.

It pointed out that if the alert message is received while driving, one should stop on the side of the road away from bridges and tall buildings, calling for reporting any danger via number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or via number (998) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.

The Civil Defense emphasized the importance of obtaining information from official channels and adhering to the instructions issued by the competent authorities until the emergency situation ends.
