An inquiry was submitted to the official account of domestic worker services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, 'Musaned', from a follower, stating: 'Is it a condition for recruiting a domestic worker that she has a private room, or can she sleep in a room with children?'

The Musaned platform pointed out, via its page on X, that the domestic worker regulations can be viewed by visiting the following link: click here, where the Knowledge Center contains decisions, regulations, and procedures related to the employer and domestic workers.

Article 15 of the regulation states: 'Provide a suitable place for the accommodation of the domestic worker and those under his jurisdiction inside or outside the workplace, and provide appropriate food or a material alternative for both. The Minister, or whoever he delegates, shall determine by a decision the controls for housing and the monetary compensation in lieu of food for the domestic worker.'
