Islamic Affairs in Asir Conducts 167,226 Inspection Rounds on Mosques during First Half of 2026
The branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in the Asir region announced that it carried out 167,226 supervisory and oversight rounds on mosques, prayer halls, and women's prayer areas in various governorates of the region during the first half of the year 2026.
The branch pointed out that these rounds come as part of the Ministry's efforts to improve the quality of services provided in the houses of God and enhance the efficiency of field follow-up.
Details of the inspection rounds
The Ministry added that the first quarter of the year saw the implementation of 86,856 supervisory and oversight rounds, while the number of rounds during the second quarter amounted to 80,370, to monitor the level of services and raise performance efficiency in mosques and prayer halls.
The branch clarified that the rounds included checking the readiness of mosques, prayer halls, and women's prayer areas to receive worshippers, the safety of buildings, facilities, air conditioning and lighting systems, in addition to recording observations and violations and submitting them to the competent authorities for handling.
Objectives of the rounds
In the same context, the Ministry affirmed that these rounds are part of its efforts to care for the houses of God, follow up on their readiness, implement regulations and instructions, and provide a suitable environment for worshippers.
