The National Center for Environmental Compliance announced that the number of inspection tours for activities with the highest environmental impact in the first half of this year rose to 70% of inspection visits, which totaled more than 26,000 visits, due to the activation of targeted inspection.

The percentage of women's participation in Hajj season work increased to 10%

Director of the Inspection Department, Abdul Majeed Al-Harbi, confirmed that targeted inspection reflected on the efficiency of implementation, which resulted in a 13% decrease in the number of field tours compared to the same period last year, noting that this enabled the center to develop inspection operations and their outputs within available resources.

He explained that the 'Environmental Inspection' platform, updated at the beginning of this year, facilitated the registration of facilities with environmental impact, and enabled the receipt of objections and corrective plans in record time to follow up on procedures and eliminate the need to repeat inspection visits.

Al-Harbi added that raising the level of cooperation with relevant authorities to conduct joint visits to monitor cases of non-compliance saved effort and time for the center's inspectors in visiting some sites, such as: participating in inspection campaigns within the work of the permanent executive committee for fuel stations and service centers, conducting joint visits with government agencies, as well as the dust control and management campaign in the capital in cooperation with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City and the Riyadh Region Municipality.

He affirmed that the first half of 2026 witnessed the effective participation of women in field inspection, and their participation rate in the previous Hajj season increased to 10% of the total number of inspectors participating in the tours.
