Jeddah Municipality Notifies Owners of Buildings at Risk of Collapse Near Al-Qozi Market

Yesterday, Jeddah Municipality issued notifications to owners of dilapidated shops and buildings at risk of collapse near Al-Qozi Market, in preparation for completing legal procedures and carrying out removal work, as part of its efforts to protect lives and property and address sites that pose a risk to public safety.

Head of the Southern Sub-Municipality Ibrahim Al-Sulami explained that the notifications granted owners a legal grace period of two months from the date of receipt before the start of removal work, and owners of adjacent buildings were also informed of the planned procedures at the site.

He stated that the municipality inspected the sites, and the inspection results showed that their structural condition was unsafe and that their current state poses a risk to public safety, necessitating their inclusion among the sites scheduled for removal.

Jeddah Municipality affirmed its continued monitoring of dilapidated buildings and sites and addressing them according to approved legal procedures, contributing to the preservation of lives and property and the enhancement of the urban landscape.
