Nouakchott, 08 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to July 22, 2026, SPA: Mauritania strongly condemned the statements and threats issued by the so-called military spokesman of the Houthi militia, noting that they include false allegations targeting the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and pose a threat to the freedom of maritime navigation and the security of international shipping lanes. In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Mauritania affirmed its full and absolute solidarity with the Kingdom, its unwavering stance alongside it in the face of anything that targets its security, sovereignty, and vital interests, and its support for its full right to take whatever measures it deems appropriate to protect its territory, citizens, and maritime navigation.
