Jeddah, 07 Safar 1448 H, corresponding to July 21, 2026, SPA: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, expressed his strong condemnation and denunciation of the threats issued by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, maritime navigation security, and the freedom of international trade. He affirmed that the statements made by the so-called military spokesperson of the terrorist Houthi militia cannot be accepted or justified in any way, stressing that the ongoing threat to maritime navigation poses a threat to regional and international security. He noted that these practices are part of a series of attacks and false claims launched by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest being the attack targeting the southern region, as well as threats targeting maritime navigation. He reiterated the OIC's full solidarity and support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to preserve its security and stability, recalling the strenuous efforts and endeavors made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to contribute to achieving peace, security, and stability in Yemen, along with the generous humanitarian and relief aid it provided and the development projects it completed for the benefit of the Yemeni people with the aim of alleviating their suffering. He called for the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions regarding Yemen and regarding the rights and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea.
